This unit covers essential knowledge for providing first aid in line with ARC and national guidelines, workplace procedures, and legal responsibilities. It includes infection control, risk management, CPR techniques for all ages, and proper use of AEDs. Learners also learn how to recognise and manage a wide range of medical conditions and injuries, from allergic reactions and bleeding to cardiac events, fractures, poisoning, and stroke.

Prerequisites - Nil, but students must be able to complete 2 minutes/5 cycles of CPR
